Library Card Problems
You may not be able to use your library card in person or online for any of the following reasons.
Expired Card
Library cards expire every 5 years. When we renew your card, we verify your current address and contact information. To renew your card, please visit the Circulation Desk on the main level or call 508-647-6520.
Account No Longer Exists
Account No Longer Exists
If you have not used your card to check out a book in a very long time, your account may have been deleted from the system. Just come to the library with photo ID and proof of address to reinstate your card.
Fines Over $5
Fines Over $5
Once you have accumulated $5 or more in fines, your card is blocked. To lower the amount you owe, make a cash or check payment at the Circulation Desk on the main level or access your account online and pay by debit or credit card. Once the amount owed is less than $5, you will be able to use your card.
Assumed Lost Items
Assumed Lost Items
When an item is more that 30 days overdue, it is "Assumed Lost" and the cost of replacement is assessed to your account. "Assumed Lost" items must be returned or paid for in order to use your card.
