Assistive Tools & Technology
The Morse Institute Library offers a variety of tools and equipment to assist patrons with using the library collections and public computers, and also to borrow for home use.

Scans printed text and reads it out loud. For use in the library. -
Optelec Handheld Magnifiers
Box of 6 handheld magnifiers of varying strengths, with and without lights. -
Large Type computer keyboards with large 19-inch height-adjustable monitors

Loud-R handheld device, Sonic Ear amplifier with headphones. -
TTY/TDD
Teletypewriter in Reference Department (508-647-6521), and one that can be borrowed. -
Phonic Ear Assistive Listening System
Available in the Lebowitz Meeting Hall for programs. Please call ahead to arrange for hearing enhancement equipment prior to an event: 508-647-6525.
